The only thing that came close was an update to a feature in iOS 17 that suggests the next word you might want to use when typing on an iPhone keyboard. Yesterday Apple announced new features powered by its neural engine hardware-like call screening that transcribes the first few words of a voicemail live so you can decide whether to pick up a call-but there was no mention of generative AI during the two-hour Worldwide Developer Conference keynote address.
